2 Days in the UK – 3 Hard Rock Café’s
Back from the UK!
On Friday January 15 2010 I decided to visit the UK. Why? Because I like to travel around and the Hard Rock Café shirts were still missing
On Saturday morning I took the first plane from Milano Malpensa to London Gatwick. The Firday before I have had setup a though time schedule to visit 3 cities London, Manchester and booked the hotel in Cardiff. What a surpise we started boarding on time, but the plane didn’t leave the airfield for 1 1/2 hours. Don’t ask me why, I must have missed the announcement – I fell asleep – and my time schedule was messed up
As I have already been to London in April 2009, I just decided to visit the Hard Rock Café close to Piccadilly Circus to purchase merchandise article and then continue to leave to Manchester by train.
In Manchester I took the taxi directly to the Hard Rock Café to catch up some time, purchased Manchester merchandising shirts and pins! Lucky me that I have got an All Access Card, I immediately got a table in a crowdy Hard Rock Café and enjoyed my lunch ![]()
The afternoon I spent visiting Manchester’s city, before I took another train Cardiff.
The train was supposed to leave Manchester and directly arrive in Cardiff, Wales. I put myslf in a chair and fell asleep – again! I just started to catch up some time in Manchester as the time schedule got completely screwed up. The train stopped ‘somewhere’ and we all had to leave the train – don’t ask me where it, I slept
– thx to the old lady who woke me up, otherwise I would have been gone back to Manchester!
Jumped from one train into the other, I just followed the crowd and we went thru Birmingham and arrived 4 hours late in Cardiff.
After checking in, I made my way to the Hard Rock Café to take at least dinner and a drink, the opening hours are “’til late” for the Restaurant and the Rock Shop in Cardiff. Unfortunately “’til late” doesn’t really mean, that it’s openend “’til late”. I arrived a few minutes after 10:00 pm and the Rock Shop employee was already closing the shelves! Telling him, that I only came to visit the Hard Rock Café in Cardiff convinced him, that he was still selling me the pins and shirts! Thanks again! Having all my shoppings done – I went to the bar to take a drink…. yeah, unfortunately the restaurant was already close!
By mistake I received one of these black-diamond girls shirts without the “Cardif” name on it. Thanks to the entire HRC Cardiff staff for all their help in getting the correct HRC Cardiff shirts to me.
Cheers mates!
